Just a kiss

Writing explicit scenes is easier than those with a simple kiss. I've started to notice that I spend much more time refining a scene when they step close, barely touch, should-we-shouldn't-we, lean in, brush their lips and release slowly. When they are going for it, slick with sweat, hot and heavy, I'm usually a "one and done" kind of girl. Why is this?

I think it's because we place a higher value on that one, perfect kiss. Movies reinforce that. If the first kiss isn't a good one, the relationship is doomed. But if it rocks you off your feet, if you see the world in a new light, if you realize that you stopped breathing, buckle up. You are in for a wild ride. 

Just a kiss. Makes my heart race every time.
